Background documents of the World Council
#UCLGMeets
Dear members of the World Council,
We are pleased to share with you the background documents for the Business Session of the World Council, to be held on 17 November 2021.
As you know, among the issues discussed at this session will be the UCLG Work Programme 2022 and the Report of the Presidency.
UCLGMEETS
The UCLGMeets platform is the central virtual space for preparation and exchanges for the World Council meetings.
From the main page of the Council, you will already find the interactive programme day-by-day, including the sessions of the World Council and of the Policy Councils.
[REMINDER: The Policy Council on the New Urban Agenda will be celebrated on 9 November, in the framework of the Metropolis Congress, and the Policy Council on Resilient Cities, on 11 November, during the Local and Regional Governments Day at COP26 – more information available on UCLGMeets]
As always, we will make sure to send you the latest up-dates by circular, right before the Council. We also take this opportunity to remind you that all the detailed descriptions of the sessions, concept notes, additional resources and UCLG TV will be up-dated on UCLGMeets as we come nearer to the meetings. Don’t forget to check the page regularly!
REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION
If you have not done so already, we remind you that you need to register by filling in the registration form by 12 November, whether you will participate online or in-person.
The way we meet is evolving. We have prepared an information note for online participants, to guide you through the different virtual processes of the World Council. As usual, we count on your active participation: please do not hesitate to use the “raise your hand” option during the sessions. The moderators will try to accommodate as many interventions as possible.
- As all the sessions will take place via Zoom, we highly recommend to ensure you have the most recent version of the app downloaded
Please also find an information note for in-person participants, with further details about the venue, the accreditation to the Smart City Expo, the COVID-related measures and other logistical information.
The World Secretariat remains at your disposal should you require any additional information: UCLGExBu@uclg.org.
Sincerely,
The UCLG World Secretariat
