Dear colleague,
We're excited to invite you to the inaugural Human Mobility Policy Lab, led by the Municipality of Lampedusa, as part of the ongoing efforts of our global community to implement the Lampedusa Charter on Dignified Human Mobility and Territorial Solidarity. In line with the 35 priorities identified by the Charter, this inaugural session will address the challenges associated with the dignified treatment of people and their families in the context of failed migratory journeys.
This hybrid session, titled "Protecting Dignity and Human Rights," will take place next Wednesday, 21 February from 9:00 to 10:30 CET,at the Catalonia Barcelona Plaza Hotel, as part of the UCLG Annual Retreat organized by the United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG). We're bringing together stakeholders from various levels of government, civil society, international organizations, academia, and migrant associations to brainstorm solutions and share insights on this critical issue.
We believe your expertise and insights would be invaluable in shaping the discussions and contributing to practical solutions. Your presence at this event would be greatly appreciated.
Please find attached a tentative agenda for the session. Kindly let us know if you can join us by RSVP to migration@uclg.org and, in case you have not yet done so, by filling this Registration form until 15th February. .
We're looking forward to ha-ving you join us for this important initiative!
Warm regards,
