Renewal of Governing Bodies
7th UCLG World Congress, 10-14 October 2022, Daejeon (South Korea)

Dear members of UCLG,

You are the drivers of the World Organization, representing diverse and broad expression of a century-old international municipal movement. It is your leadership and participation that are vital to our unique representativity and reach.

Active participation in the different parts of the Organization is critical. We invite you to familiarize yourself with the electoral process for the renewal of the Governing Bodies, and consider your own place within the movement.

2022 will see the renewal of the Governing Bodies of our Organization, which will be appointed for a three-year term at the 7th UCLG World Congress on 10-14 October in Daejeon (South Korea). Under Governing Bodies, we mainly understand the Executive Bureau and World Council, and all the bodies derived from those, such as the Committee on Statutory Affairs, the Financial Management Committee, etc.

The Presidency of the Organization is subject to direct elections by the World Council and a separate call will be issued in this regard.

According to article 7 of the Constitution, UCLG membership is open to two types of local government members:
