Warm greetings from UCLG ASPAC Secretariat.
We hope this email finds you well and healthy. Xi’an City Government together with UCLG ASPAC, the Hantang Culture Online Academy of Xi’an, and the Open University of China (Xi’an Branch) launched a Chinese Language Training Programme design for civil servants from UCLG ASPAC member cities as well as the UCLG ASPAC Tourism Committee member cities. The programme purpose is to intensify communication and cooperation among members in the Asia-Pacific region and part of the capacity-building programme of Xi’an and UCLG ASPAC.
The program includes four main online courses (Basic Chinese Language, Speak Chinese in Real Scenario, Understanding China, and Charm of Xi’an) and is supplemented by self-study. Learners of this program need to study at least 2 hours a week for 8 consecutive weeks. Learners who obtained the required training hours of each course and meet the completion requirements of the academy will be issued a certificate on completion of the program. There is no cost to enroll in this programme. The registration period is from 10th March to 1st April 2022.
Before the deadline of registration, applicants should submit their application form and recommendation letter from the respective local government (direct supervisor) to the following email address: shasha7958@163.com and CC to executive.assistant@uclg-aspac.org
