UCLG 2022 Executive Bureau
Background documents of the Executive Bureau
#UCLGMeets
Dear members,
We are pleased to share with you the
background documents for the Business Session of the Executive Bureau, to be held on
15 June 2022.
As has been the case in recent statutory meetings, it is proposed to organize the Business Session in three main segments, during which each item on the agenda will be covered. This format is aimed to generate more space for interventions from members:
- First segment: Policy highlights and strategic priorities
- Second segment: Institutional matters
- Third segment: Building blocks of the World Congress in Daejeon
The Business Session will also see the announcement of the winners of the 5
th edition of the
International Award “UCLG – Mexico City – Culture 21”, the Award that recognizes cities and personalities who have excelled in the promotion of cultural rights.
UCLGMEETS
As previously informed, the
UCLGMeets platform will be the central virtual space for preparation and exchanges for the Executive Bureau meetings.
All programmes will be up-dated from the
main page of the Bureau, where you will already find:
- The interactive programme day-by-day and the overview programme, including the sessions of the Executive Bureau, organized in a hybrid format, and the sessions of the Mediterranean Urban Migration Forum, organized in-person in Seville;
- Descriptions of the sessions, which will be up-dated as we come nearer to the meetings;
- Additional resources that we hope you will find useful for the different sessions.
IN-PERSON PARTICIPATION
We remind you that the meetings of the Executive Bureau and of the Mediterranean Urban Migration Forum on will be celebrated at:
FIBES – Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones de Sevilla
Address: Avenida Alcalde Luis Uruñuela, 1
All the hybrid sessions organized by UCLG will be held in the
“Albaicín” Room.
By
registering to the UCLG meetings, you will be automatically registered to the in-person sessions of the Mediterranean Urban Migration Forum. Please note that for security matters,
registrations received after 8 June may result in a waiting time when entering the Palacio de Congresos and obtaining your accreditation.
UCLG is aiming to organize a
paperless event and will not have printing facilities in situ, so you are kindly requested to bring your own copies of the documents or consult them directly online.
The
list of hotels we have previously shared with you is now also available on UCLGMeets, where more information on transportation from the city center to the meetings venue will also be uploaded in the coming days.
Please note that transportation from the airport to the hotels is not included.
ONLINE PARTICIPATION
All the sessions organized in the framework of the UCLG Executive Bureau are
hybrid, which means that you can easily connect to the sessions and
actively participate in the discussions.
The Zoom links for the different sessions are already available on the UCLGMeets platform.
We remind you that it is preferable to connect from a laptop to guarantee good quality of sound and image, as this meeting will count on audiovisual production.
We highly recommend to ensure you have the most recent version of Zoom downloaded (
tutorial here).
The World Secretariat remains at your disposal should you require any additional information:

Sincerely,
