The World Water Forum stands as a pivotal moment for global action on water-related challenges, bringing together a diverse range of stakeholders from across the globe. UCLG’s consistent engagement since 2006 underscores our commitment to advancing water governance. As facilitator of the political process for local and regional governments at the Forum, UCLG is committed to advocating for territories in safeguarding water as a common good and a universal public service. You can click on the following link to read the draft statement prepared by UCLG and that will be presented to the Executive Bureau in San José (17-19 April). If you have any feedback on the statement, we invite you to send it to us in track changes by 2 April. We will be sharing more information on the special events for local and regional governments in the coming weeks.
